Founded first office near London.
WJ awarded dewatering contract for the Conwy Crossing immersed tube tunnel for £1 million. The project included the first large scale application of ejector wells in Europe.
Commenced dewatering for immersed tube tunnel contract #2! Over 80 No deepwells were installed for the Medway Tunnel.
Introduced in-tunnel inclined wellpoint dewatering for Jubilee Line.
Undertook the dewatering for the Cardiff Bay Barrage. The £1.5 million contract involved installation of thousands of wellpoints, deepwells and sump wells.
Another first for WJ – dewatering wells installed in the bed of the River Thames for the Docklands Light Railway Greenwich extension.
After a six-year gap, WJ recommences work at Canary Wharf, and has had a continual presence since.
Managed large-scale dewatering for the Channel Tunnel Rail Link.
Awarded dewatering for Dubai International Airport Terminal 3, WJ’s largest project to date.
UAE office opened to support fast growth in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Office opened in Doha, Qatar to support regional expansion.
Undertook the dewatering and groundwater treatment for the London 2012 Olympic Aquatic Centre.
Provided dewatering for the Lusail Expressway in Doha, Qatar where maximum discharge flows exceeded 2500l/sec.
Commenced groundwater control and depressurisation for London’s Crossrail. WJ went on to undertake contracts worth over £25 million.
WJ’s Polish office is established in Lodz, to support the 18 million Zloty dewatering contract for Lodz Fabryczna, a new high-speed train interchange.
New Group Headquarters established in Kings Langley, just outside London.
Secured and successfully delivered dewatering contracts worth over £1 million each in Scotland, Australia and Turkey.
Opened office in Kuwait and completed Al Zour LNG project.
Opened an office in Toronto to support the bid for the dewatering for the Eglinton Light Rail Scheme. WJ went on to secure and deliver the dewatering contracts for 11 No stations on the line.
Established an office in the Philippines to support the dewatering contract worth $7 million USD for Clark Airport Railway project.
Opened offices in Saudi Arabia to support the Kingdom’s ambitious infrastructure programme.
